The First Bitcoin Metro Train

The First Bitcoin Metro Train

In the heart of Brescia, an UNESCO heritage city of extraordinary cultural depth, the metro system opens up to the territory, becoming a form of collective storytelling shaped by new visions and evolving languages. Starting October 23, 2025, following interventions by Luca Font, J. Demsky, Joys, and Peeta, the Metro Urban Museum welcomes a new chapter by Valentina Picozzi, artist and researcher, who brings her distinctive cyberpunk aesthetic to the city. Her work blends urban art, technology, and freedom of expression into a narrative centered on control, independence, and the future.

With “You Can’t Stop This Train!” Valentina Picozzi, together with her collective Satoshi Gallery, signs a site-specific intervention born from the very movement of the city itself: a fully decorated train and a large-scale mural that interact within the Metro depot on Via Magnolini.

Across the surfaces of the train and the walls of the museum, the artist constructs a visual landscape where Andy Warhol’s iconic Dollar Sign is reimagined as a “B” for Bitcoin: an emblem of an invisible, intangible, decentralized economic revolution.

Her intervention at MUM, the Metro Urban Museum of Brescia, makes a symbolic and geographical leap: from the Bronx of graffiti culture to the industrial architecture of Brescia, “You Can’t Stop This Train!” connects worlds and languages, making visible what moves beneath the surface. The train becomes a cultural device in motion, carrying a message of freedom and ongoing transformation.

Set on the backgroud of the work is the Satoshi Code, a visual representation of the algorithm that governs the Bitcoin protocol, tracing a pattern of symbols and numbers. Within this system, the phrase "You Can’t Stop This Train" emerges as an urban mantra: a call to unstoppable change, echoing the rhythm of a world moving between matter and digital space, between the public realm and the collective imagination.
