The Colour of Money
2022
Silkscreen, foil stamping, glitter on Laurier Paper
15 works
30 × 40 cm
Fifteen works, each 30 × 40 cm, each named for a term from the language of crypto culture.Formatted as oversized Pantone colour chips, The Colour of Money examines the branded identity of monetary instruments: the way currencies, stablecoins, and market mantras dress themselves in colour and typography to perform stability, authority, and desire.
Each chip assigns a colour to a financial concept: Bitcoin orange to FOMO, gold to ANTIQUE, teal to PLAN B, treating the vocabulary of finance with the deadpan irony of Pop branding. The series is complete: fifteen works, fifteen colours, fifteen terms from a lexicon that did not exist a generation ago and now shapes the financial decisions of millions.
